This really bumps up your workout!,
by Eleanor O'Brien, 2010-03-19
I love to exercise on my Wii. I have the Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Gold's Gym Cardio, EA sports Active Personal Trainer, and EA Sports Active more workouts.
I purchased this Step Platform to go with the Step workouts that are in Wii Fit and EA Sports Active. The additional inches really do make a huge difference in your workout. It increases your heart rate as well as working your glutes.
I highly recommend this riser if you are interested in either of the step exercises.
Does not work well with the wii balance board,
by A. Gordon, 2010-03-17
The sensors inside the legs of the wii balance board do not register movements well nor weight well when atop this aerobic step. You'd be better of making a wood box to set it on. At least then it might work well.
Works well but a little flimsy,
by Maria Freberg, 2010-03-14
There are tiny screws holding the step together. So far I haven't had any problems, but I'm very careful to keep it level. I like the added height. It really adds to the workout.
Poorly designed,
by C. E. Hunsicker, 2010-03-12
1. The weight and sensors don't quite register correctly when using the step. The foot inserts should have been shallower.
2. The middle support beam is secured with 4 tiny screw, which are screwed into the plastic (no metal threads). The screws ripped through the plastic the first time the step was utilized. The step should have been cast as a single piece of plastic.
Balance Board Riser good but not great,
by Garnet Coulthard, 2010-03-11
I purchased this even after reading some of the negative reviews. I have used it for several days and have had no problems with it recognizing all my steps. I have not tried to use it for weighing myself, but I have a bathroom scale for that and can easily take it off the riser if I want to weigh myself. It is sturdy and I have not experienced any wobbling or unsteadyness. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the screw holes can be stripped out really easily. I was very careful when assembling it not to, but I think I will get some lok-tite and put it in the holes. I really enjoy the extra height it gives. I use it on a wooden floor and it does not move at all.
